About Us

The Brick Reformed Church, located in Burlington, North Carolina is a congregation with a rich history in the Christian faith. Our German Reformed forefathers left a legacy strong in commitment to worship of God and service to the community. Since 1748, Brick Church has continued to be faithful to God’s call to Mission both at home and around the world. Our congregation is blessed with the gift of fellowship and we love to celebrate God’s joys with one another. We invite you to join us as we grow in the love of God, the grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.

You can read more about our history here.

The doctrinal statement in our current constitution reads as follows:

•The Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are recognized as the Word of God and the ultimate rule of Christian faith and practice

•The doctrinal standards of this congregation are the Heidelberg Catechism, Luther’s Catechism, and the Augsberg Confession. They are accepted as an authoritative interpretation of the essential truth taught in the Holy Scriptures. Wherever these doctrinal standards differ, the minister, members and congregation, in accordance with the liberty of conscience inherent in the Gospel, are allowed to adhere to the interpretation of one of these confessions. However, in each case the final norm is the Word of God.

Note: Our doctrinal statement, along with our entire constitution, is going through a process of revision. The revised doctrinal statement, however, will not reflect a substantive change but only what is considered necessary to provide further clarification. If you have any further questions please feel free to call our church directly at (336) 449-6034, email us at [email protected], or message us on Facebook. [gap size=”30px”] [gap size=”30px”]
