Follow along with the scriptures and journey to the cross with Jesus. Drop-in any time between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm to walk through the Stations of the Cross.
The Stations of the Cross, an ancient practice that is rooted in an old legend about Mary, the mother of Jesus. As the story goes, after the death and resurrection of Jesus, Mary would retrace the steps her son had taken on his journey to the cross, stopping every so often to recall what had happened at that particular spot.
This year we have chosen to locate our Stations of the Cross in the sanctuary. Each station consists of an illustration depicting a scene from Jesus’ final hours, a relevant scripture reference, a brief reflection, and a question or two to help guide your thinking. These illustrations have been colored but they are not all complete. You are invited to bring along some colored pencils if you want to contribute. Take as much time as you would like to move through each station, but do so with reverence, so as not to disturb others who are taking the journey.
